Mississippi Roast

This is another one of those super-simple “dump it all in” recipes for the crock-pot where time does all the work.


  • 4-5 lbs of cheap roast.
  • 4-5 (or more) pickled Pepperoncinis.
  • 1 packet of powdered Ranch Dressing Mix.
  • 1 packet of powdered Au Jus Mix.
  • Half a stick of butter.

Put the meat in the crock-pot, sprinkle the Ranch and Au Jus mixes on top, throw the pepperoncinis on top and slice up the butter (or not) and throw that on top.

LOW HEAT for ~8 hours.


For a little more flair, you can throw in onions, bananas and mushrooms.
